VFX Artist Carrie Smith joined Encore as a freelancer and became part of the staff in July 2011. A specialist in 2D and compositing work, Smith loves the challenges (what she calls the "visual crossword puzzle") involved in combining multiple elements into finished shots that sell the illusion to an audience. In her time with Encore, Carrie has worked on many shows, including House, Weeds and Raising Hope.
Smith began her career in the industry doing restoration work. A native of the Washington, DC area and graduate of the University of Delaware, Smith spent the first eight years of her professional life teaching high school English.
